I read a post on another fiat forum where this could be something that happens when it becomes very cold outside so going to try again when it warms up in a few days.

Just happened to me about 10 minutes ago. I spent over 1 hour trying to release my wife 2012 fiat 500 truck latch and discovered it should only take 5 min by accident. When i get into the passenger side i can use the door handle on the driver s side of the door to open door from the inside. I had to go through the passenger side reach over and open the drivers side door that way.

Relocked car honk unlocked tried again. Also there wasn t that detent that i normally feel as the handle releases the door. All you need is a flat head scr. On the driver s side of the door the door will not open from the outside.

So i unlock and lock several times no luck. Electrical wiring problem cuts between trunk and chassis follow my instagram. Unlocked car tugged on drivers door handle handle came out like normal but door wouldn t budge.
